An exchange group from our partner school in Potsdam, Germany arrived in Sioux Falls on October 11, 2025. Ten students and one teacher are visiting Washington High School until October 28. The two schools have been partner schools for the past 6 years. Eight amazing host families are sharing their homes with the students. Students attend classes with their host family's WHS student for the first few days, and then they are allowed to choose classes to sit in on based on their interests. CTE is also a gracious host to allow the students to experience their courses while they are visiting.
The group is here to share their culture with us and to experience life in an American high school. While they are here, they will also take a short trip to the Black Hills, squeezing in as many sights as possible in 3 days: they will visiting the Dignity Statue, the Akta Lakota Museum in Chamberlain, the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, and Custer State Park.
