Mrs. Siegel's third grade class are pen pals with students at CTE who are taking a baking class. The CTE students sent a letter and delicious cookies for the students!

The Color Run is next week! If you have a white t-shirt, please send to school with your child by Friday, September 20th. Families are welcome to come and watch the color run. It will be located on the Terry Redlin Playground!

Mrs. Goscicki's 1st and 2nd graders had a lot of fun today choosing and tasting different type of apples! There were lots of smiles and we hear the apples tasted great!

Mrs. Amdahl's Kindergarten students spent some time this week with Mrs. Heithold's third graders during buddies time. They did some counting together!

Mrs. Schneider's 4th grade students are learning about electrical systems. They were able to put their learning into practice by creating a simple electrical system. Students had to work in pairs to come up with a way to make their system function. Impressive!
3rd grade got to practice evacuating from a fire with the Sioux Falls Fire Department. Remember, if your home needs fire alarms, call 211 for help! Thanks to the SFFD for teaching us fire safety today!

Meet Toby! Toby is a licensed therapy dog who will be in the library throughout the school year. He is so special! Thanks to our school librarian, Mrs. Hage, for bringing in Toby! Mrs. Hage teaches students all about him, how to pet him, and how he helps us at school! 2nd grade engineers constructed him a dog house today!
Ms. Foley's 5th graders have been busy working on Native American cultures during Social Studies class!

3rd graders took a field trip to Our Farm this morning! Students were able to learn about the farm animals and growing seeds, had fun checking out the activities, and picked pumpkins!
Mrs. Hansen's 3rd grade class filled up their “on task” bus on Friday, so they celebrated at the end of the day with a special treat and UNO! Way to go!!
National Read a Book Day! Buddies from 102 and 402 met today to celebrate national Read a Book Day! Students celebrated by listening to Ms. Sylvester and Mrs. Schneider reading an Elephant and Piggie book as well as drawing the characters together.
